APPRECIATION MESSAGE ON THE APPROVAL OF GRADE LEVEL 12 ENTRY POINT FOR PHARM.D HOLDERS AND ELONGATION OF TERMINAL GRADE LEVEL TO GL.17 All Glory Be to God! My dear esteemed colleagues, Today is a day of immense joy, gratitude, and fulfilment. After many years of advocacy, perseverance, and collective effort, we have witnessed the approval of Grade Level 12 as the entry point for holders of Pharm.D and the elongation of the terminal grade level of the Pharmacy Cadre from GL.16 to GL.17 in the Ondo State Public Service. First and foremost, I return all glory, honour, and adoration to Almighty God whose grace and faithfulness made this landmark achievement possible. I sincerely appreciate the College of Past Chairmen, the Board of Fellows (BOF), my entire PSN Ondo State Executive Committee, and all stakeholders who stood firmly behind this cause over the years. I wish to place on record the exceptional leadership, tireless commitment, and unwavering dedication of the Chairman of AHAPN, Pharm. Dr Emmanuel Fagbemi, whose relentless efforts, strategic engagements, and steadfast determination were instrumental to the successful conclusion of this struggle. His resilience and commitment to the welfare and career advancement of Pharmacists deserve our deepest appreciation and recognition. The profession owes him a debt of gratitude for his outstanding contributions. I also commend the Executive Committee and members of AHAPN for their support and commitment throughout the process. Special appreciation goes to Pharm. Mrs Yemisi Loto and her husband, Hon. Akindeko Loto, whose invaluable interventions and support during the final phase of this struggle helped us successfully cross the finish line. I will be ungrateful if I fail to specially recognise the following distinguished colleagues for their invaluable contributions at different stages of this historic struggle: 1. Pharm. Eniola Robinson Akindeko 2. Pharm. Dr. Emmanuel Fagbemi 3. Pharm. Dr Samuel Oluwaoromipin Adekola 4. Pharm. Alfred Olukoju 5. Pharm. Mrs Yemisi Loto and Hon. Akindeko Loto 6. Pharm. Gbenga Lasekan 7. Pharm. Dr. Taiwo Adefurin Your sacrifices, dedication, and commitment to advancing the Pharmacy profession will always be remembered. I equally appreciate the numerous silent members whose prayers, support, encouragement, and behind-the-scenes efforts contributed significantly to this achievement. On a personal note, I thank God for granting me the privilege of witnessing the fulfilment of one of the major legacy projects contained in my manifesto as Chairman of PSN Ondo State Branch. As we celebrate this victory, I look forward to the realization of our second legacy project — the PSN Bus Project — with renewed hope and determination. With God on our side and with the continued support of our members, we shall achieve it. To every member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, Ondo State Branch, thank you for your trust, prayers, support, and encouragement. You are my joy and my inspiration. As men of honour, let us continue to work together in unity for the advancement of our noble profession. I am overwhelmed with joy and gratitude. Though words may not adequately express my appreciation, please know that I remain eternally grateful to everyone who contributed to this success. May Almighty God bless and reward you all abundantly. Pharm. Babalola Osabiya Taiwo, PSN Chairman, Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, Ondo State 15th June, 2026
